HISTORY OF HOFNER & HOFNER, L.L.C.

The Firm began in May, 1979 with two partners and no employees. Growth has been planned and is expected to continue at a controlled rate. We are committed to the premise that dedication to client service is the key to Firm growth and believe that such dedication will produce an environment conducive to staff development and personal job satisfaction for every Firm member. This attitude toward client service has enabled us to grow significantly since our founding in May of 1979 to our present size where we have a diversified client base for which we provide audits, accounting services, tax planning and management advisory services.

The partners recognize that superior client services can only be rendered by employing the most qualified staff personnel who are committed to similar goals. The Firm fully accepts the responsibility for providing a challenging environment which will motivate all staff personnel to meet personal and firm objectives.

Each staff member is assigned tasks which will fully develop his/her professional skills. Continuing education is required of every professional staff person. Staff assignments are made with the intention of developing a person's skills to a point where he/she can function independently in a challenging environment.

PHILOSOPHIES

In providing professional services, we strive to implement the following:

  • We promote "the Firm" concept. Clients are served by the Firm, rather than by individuals. We refer to "our clients" rather than "my client." Opinions and recommendations are stated as "our recommendations" and "we believe".
  • We provide timely service.
  • We produce work that is of the highest quality.
  • We take a personal interest in our clients' overall financial and tax matters. When appropriate, a tax specialist will coordinate all of a client's tax matters.
  • We provide a full range of services including: auditing, accounting, tax planning and compliance, computer assistance, and management consulting services.
  • We have sufficient capacity to accept additional clients or to provide additional services for existing clients. Our staff is well balanced to assure that all work is assigned at the appropriate level of ability. Employees have diverse backgrounds to provide a wide range of expertise.
  • We hire only top-quality people. Promotions are based solely on merit.
  • We encourage employees to serve their community and their profession, as well as the Firm and its career needs.
  • We grow steadily through formal practice development both by expanding services to existing clients and by offering our full range of services to new clients.
  • We strive to be the kind of firm with which employees, clients and other professionals are proud to associate.

OUR OBJECTIVES -- AND HOW WE ACHIEVE THEM

Our firm objective is to be the best CPA firm in the areas we serve by helping our clients obtain maximum profits. We achieve this objective by dedicating ourselves to these four principles:

  • Timely Service - To be of highest quality, our service must meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Quality Service - We hire only competent people, train them fully, evaluate them regularly, offer competitive compensation, and encourage continued training and specialization. We strive to develop each employee's professional abilities to the maximum.
  • Growth - We plan to grow both in size and in range of services we offer. To accomplish this, we seek clients who are growing. We will continue to become skilled in new areas, to recommend needed additional services for existing clients and to create new services for our Firm.
