Val joined our accounting staff in 2007. She assists a variety of clients with their financial and tax needs including the preparation of financial statements, business and individual tax returns, employee benefit plan tax returns and payroll processing.

Val graduated from the University of Hartford in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, major in Accounting. She passed the CPA exam that same year.

Val's experience includes both public accounting and the private sector. She was a Senior Auditor for Ernst & Young where she served clients in the manufacturing, banking and health care industries. After leaving public accounting, Val became an Accounting Manager for Kemper Financial Services in Chicago where she was responsible for monthly and annual financial reporting, budgeting, cash management and taxes. Val has experience in real estate appraisal and served as treasurer for a non-profit group before deciding to join Hofner & Hofner.

Val and her husband Bob live in St. Charles with their three children.
