During the early years of the firm's development, Tim was responsible for the firm's auditing and accounting service engagements. As a result of the growth of the firm, these responsibilities are currently shared with other personnel. He works closely with the staff and clients to insure that there is a continuity of services provided and a continuing development of each staff member. In addition, he is responsible for the computer functions within the firm. These functions have grown from coordination of the use of a service bureau to the current administration of an in-house computer with a 14 station network.

A graduate from Northern Illinois University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Tim is also a member of Beta Alpha Psi, a national honor society for accounting majors. In 1975, Tim passed the CPA exam and became the 17,997th CPA in Illinois. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.

Tim has over twenty years experience in both the accounting and auditing fields. He served on the audit staff of a national CPA firm before joining his brother in the formation of Hofner & Hofner, L.L.C. These years of experience have made Tim knowledgeable and effective in assisting clients in many areas such as projections, cash flow analysis, and stockholder retirements.

He has been and continues to be active in his community. As a member of the Oswegoland Jaycee's he served as treasurer, chairman of the group's largest projects, and was chairman of the year in 1983. His involvement in his church includes the initiation of and continuing involvement in an annual project to aid families at Christmas and the start-up of a monthly food drive to help supply a local food pantry. Tim and his wife Chris are involved with the youth of their community. They are leaders in one of their churches high school religious education programs, and Tim was a grade school football coach for many years. Together they reside in Oswego with their four children, Michael, Melissa, Megan, and Matthew.
