Steve joined our accounting and auditing staff in 2006. He holds the position of Manager of Accounting with the firm. He serves a variety of clients on an ongoing basis by providing monthly and quarterly financial statements, tax compliance services, and management advisory services.

Steve received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, with a minor in Finance and Economics, from Northern Illinois University in 1981. While working, he received his MBA Degree from Northern Illinois in 1984.

Steve brings 25 years of income tax preparation and accounting experience in the private sector to Hofner & Hofner, L.L.C. He has spent the last 16 years with a Fortune 100 company where his responsibilities have included supervising accounting staffs, managing accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, sales forecasting, financial statement analysis, inventory management and departmental budgeting. During his last 5 years, he has held the position of Corporate Controller for a North American subsidiary. In this position, Steve was responsible for all financial related matters including financial statement reporting, cash management, taxes, external audits, internal controls, corporate budgets and interacting with all levels of corporate management. He was also active with a small CPA firm preparing individual and small business income tax returns.

Steve and his wife, Patrice, live in Lisle and have two daughters in college. They enjoy Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, sports, and travel.
