Jan joined our Tax Department in 2005. She is currently responsible for providing tax planning, research, and compliance services for a wide variety of individual and business clients.

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with a major in Finance from Illinois State University. Jan has continued her education with accounting classes at the College of DuPage and is a candidate for the Certified Public Accounting Exam. She is an Enrolled Agent which entitles her to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.

Jan brings over twenty years of tax experience to Hofner & Hofner. She worked for Executive Tax Service, a division of H & R Block for 11 years. Her responsibilities included tax preparation of individual, business and employment tax returns and supervision of the staff of the Naperville office. In addition she represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service. Jan also worked with a small accounting firm in Naperville preparing tax returns.

She is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. Jan was a founding board member and president of the Accounting Club of the College of DuPage in 2005 and continues to be active at the college.

Jan lives in Naperville and enjoys gardening and traveling with friends and family.
