WHO AUDITS THE AUDITORS?

A significant part of our business involves the preparation and issuance of reports for, and on behalf of, our clientele. From financial statements to tax returns, our primary tasks involve the assembly and review of information for the purpose of preparing reports for use by clients, their creditors, government agencies and others. This process is accomplished under guidelines established by a number of agencies, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

The tables were turned recently, and we were the recipient of a report. We were visited by another CPA firm solely for the purpose of reviewing our operations and procedures. This Peer Review is an independent analysis of how we do our job and whether our performance standards in the accounting and auditing field measure up to industry standards. We are pleased to announce that the reviewers concluded that our firm complies with the stringent quality control standards established by the AICPA.

Our firm committed itself to periodic Peer Reviews when we joined the Private Companies Practice Section of the AICPA, a voluntary self-regulatory division. We joined this division because we think that our clients and the people who use our clients' financial statements deserve independent assurance that our firm provides quality services.

We are delighted with the results of our review and would be happy to answer any questions that you might have.
